With support from the Texas Workforce Commission Youth STEM Grant, Valley View students participated in a two-day Welding Camp at South Texas College on October 27 & 28. Students learned safety protocols, welded in the shop, and explored industry careers. The district, in collaboration with our educational partners, has used the funds to provide meaningful, real-world experiences in STEM fields.
