This week, our programmers put their Python skills to the test in a hands-on coding lab focused on two core building blocks of every program: variables and data type casting. Working both in collaborative teams and on their own, students assigned variables, stored and manipulated data, and converted values between types (turning text into numbers and numbers into text) to create entirely new results.
Every line they wrote builds toward a bigger goal. These skills are foundational for the PCEP (Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer) exam, an industry-recognized certification students will take next semester. Our students aren't just learning to code; they're earning credentials that open doors to college and careers in tech.
