For the past eight months, the dedication and perseverance of the Valley View Ready Writing and Journalism teams have been nothing short of remarkable. Every team member has given their all, striving to elevate the school’s presence in academic competitions. Their hard work paid off, with the Ready Writing Team securing the title of District Runner-Up and earning a spot at this year’s Regional Competition. The Varsity Journalism Team also achieved an impressive feat, finishing as District Runner-Up in points while securing three out of five Gold Medals, an achievement that, by Olympic standards, could be considered a first-place finish. Two students will advance to the Regional Competition in three of the five journalism categories. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of the school community.
